Good morning. At 6:51am EDT this morning, NASA astronaut Kevin Ford and Russian cosmonauts Oleg Novitskiy and Evgeny Tarelkin will leave Earth in a Soyuz spacecraft for a two-day journey to the International Space Station. The launchpad is located in Kazakhstan, an area four times the size of the U.S. state of Texas, spanning Eastern Europe and Central Asia. They?ll be welcomed by the current crew, Suni Williams, Yuri Malenchenko and Aki Hoside, who passed over Kazakhstan 27 September 2012, snapping pictures, including this one.
